TRANSFER PROCESS
The transfer process can be very confusing. We are here to help you navigate through it.
Out-of-State and Online Purchased Transfers:
- We will receive firearms from FFL dealers or individuals. Dealers and Individuals shipping in firearms for transfer MUST include:
- A bill of sale or gift letter
- The purchaser or receiving parties contact information.
The Person who purchased and paid for the firearm must be the person to pick-up the firearm. NO EXCEPTIONS! If the purchaser cannot pickup or take possession of the firearm for ANY reason, the firearm will be returned to the shipper and will pay a $60.00 transfer fee plus any shipping and handling fees.
Anyone who transfers in a firearm must provide a valid Washington State driver’s license or Washington State ID at the time of pick-up. ID must have current physical address on front, or purchaser must provide government issued document with current physical address and name. NO EXCEPTIONS!
All firearms purchased or transferred are required to come with a secure gun storage device or trigger lock. All firearms (new or used) purchased from Rehv Arms will come with a free trigger lock, however all firearms TRANSFERRED thru Rehv Arms must come with a trigger lock/storage device or the transferee must purchase one from Rehv Arms before the firearm can leave the store.
In the event of a DENIAL on the background check, firearm will be sent back to the shipper at customer’s expense. NO EXCEPTIONS. If the firearm was shipped by an FFL dealer, it will be returned only to that dealer. If the firearm was shipped by an individual, it must be returned to an FFL dealer in the shipper’s state. Additional fees may apply.
In-Person Transfers:
The Receiving Party (buyer) and Seller are both required to be present. The buyer must provide a valid Washington State driver’s license or Washington State ID at the time of pick-up. Fees:
Our transfer fee is $60.00 per firearm with the exception of lower receivers, which is $45 per item. Washington State requires we collect sales tax on the purchase price or fair market value on all inbound firearm transfers involving an out of state FFL dealer. Copy of invoice required, or we are required to assess a fair market value. We are not required to collect sales/use tax on transfers involving two unlicensed individuals (non FFL Dealers) either interstate on in-state. Firearms being shipped by an FFL dealer but purchased from an individual require a statement from the shipping dealer identifying this as a private sale.
Any firearms left over 30 days without authorization from Rehv Arms will be considered abandoned and sold on consignment at fair market value. Our consignment fee is 20% of final sale price. Guns left over 30 days without authorization from Rehv Arms will be subject to a storage fee of $5.00 per day per firearm.
PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO THE STORE TO SEE IF YOUR GUN HAS ARRIVED!! We will call once your gun is unpacked, processed into our system, and ready for pickup. Even if you have a tracking number and it shows that it has arrived it may not be processed into our system and ready for pickup.
*Fee’s subject to change.
